The rules for using Clipping Clips

What the service does

You upload a video. Clipping Clips transcribes it, picks moments, and produces short captioned clips that you can edit and download. The scores shown on clips are estimates made by an AI model, not predictions of how a clip will perform.

Your content

You keep all rights to the videos you upload and to the clips made from them.
You give us permission to store and process your videos only as far as needed to run the service for you, as described in the privacy notice.
Only upload video that you own or have permission to use, including the right to cut and republish it.
Do not upload content that is illegal, or that shows people in a way that breaks their rights.

The free allowance

Each account can process up to 60 minutes of video per calendar month, in videos of up to 90 minutes and 512 MB each, one video at a time. The allowance resets on the first day of each month. The service as a whole also has a monthly capacity; when it is reached, uploads pause until the next month. These limits may change.

Campaigns and earnings

A campaign states a rate per one million views, a total budget, the platforms it accepts, and any rules. Joining a campaign is free.
You post clips on your own social accounts and submit the link to each post. You are responsible for what you post and for following each platform's rules.
We confirm the view count of each submitted post ourselves. Earnings are worked out from the views we confirm, at the campaign's rate. A campaign may set a minimum number of views before a clip earns anything.
A campaign never pays out more than its budget. When the budget is used up the campaign closes, and views gained after that earn nothing further.
We may reject a submission, or reduce its confirmed views, if the post breaks the campaign's rules, is not your own post, or if the views appear to be bought, automated or otherwise not genuine.
Approved earnings are paid manually, to the payment details you enter on the Earnings page. Payment is not instant. Make sure your details are correct; we cannot recover a payment sent to wrong details that you supplied.
Taking part in a campaign does not make you an employee or agent of Clipping Clips or of any brand. You are responsible for any tax due on what you earn.

Storage

Projects are deleted automatically 7 days after they are created. Download the clips you want to keep. We are not a backup service.

Fair use of the service

One account per person. Do not try to get around the limits, access other people's projects, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that do, and remove content that breaks these terms.

No guarantees

The service is provided as it is, free of charge. Transcripts and captions can contain mistakes, so check your clips before publishing them. We do not promise that the service will always be available, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for losses that come from using it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so on this page.
