What happens to your video and your details
Clipping Clips is run by Clipping Clips. Questions or requests about your data: support@clippingclips.com.
What we store
- Your account: your email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password. We cannot read your password.
- Your videos: each video you upload, its transcript, and the clips made from it.
- Your usage: how many minutes of video your account has processed each month, to apply the monthly allowance.
- Your campaign activity: the campaigns you join, the links to posts you submit, the view counts we confirm for them, what they earned, and the payments recorded to you.
- Your payment details: whatever you enter on the Earnings page so that we can pay you. Only you and the administrator can see it. Enter only what is needed to receive a payment.
How long we keep it
A project, including the uploaded video, its transcript and its clips, is deleted automatically 7 days after it was created. You can delete a project yourself at any time from its page, which removes its files straight away. Download the clips you want to keep before then.
Your account details are kept until you ask us to delete the account. Campaign submissions, confirmed views, earnings and payment records are kept as the record of what was earned and paid, and are not removed by the 7-day clean-up.
Who else receives your content
To make clips, Clipping Clips sends parts of your content to outside services:
- The audio track of your video goes to a speech-to-text service (currently Groq) to produce the transcript.
- The transcript text goes to an AI service (currently Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) to choose the moments worth clipping.
The video picture itself is not sent to those services. Each service handles what it receives under its own terms. We do not sell your content or your details, and we do not use your videos for advertising.
Who can see your projects
Only your account can open your projects and clips. The administrator of the service can see the list of accounts and how many minutes each has used, and has access to the server where files are stored.
In campaigns, other clippers cannot see your submissions, your earnings or your payment details. The administrator sees all of them, because the administrator confirms views and sends payments. A campaign page shows everyone how many clippers have joined and how much of its budget has been earned, without naming anyone.
Cookies and other requests
Clipping Clips sets one cookie of its own, which keeps you signed in. The pages also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to count visits and see which pages people use; it does not receive your videos, transcripts or account details. The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch them.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account and everything in it, by writing to support@clippingclips.com.
